| Industrial Training institute Saraspur is an ISO-9001:2000 certified institute and governed by Department of Employment and Training. The institute follows the norms constituted by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) under the guidance of Directorate of Employment and Training (DGE&T). At present, there are many schemes like NCVT, GCVT, GITW, CoE, STCC, Apparel, BPO, Smart Goal etc. are conducted by this institute. |

The institute conducts different technical and non-technical courses in three shifts. There are 3 years, 2 years, 1 year, 6 months, 3 months and 2 months duration courses with 1198 intake capacity in 29 trades and 99 batches. The institute is having good infrastructure facilities, tools and equipment, trained instructors and supporting managerial staff. |

Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) (NCVT & GCVT) :
Under this scheme, there are two types of trades. One is designed by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). Other is designed by Gujarat Council for Vocational Training(GCVT), with guidance of DGE&T, to meet the local demands of the State. The training of 1 year, 2 years and three years durations are imparted in this scheme. National Trade Certificated is awarded to the trainees of the trades under NCVT. State Trade Certificate is issued to the trainees of the trades under GCVT. |

Apprentice Training Scheme (ATS) :
There is a provision in the Apprentice Act, 1961 for providing on the job training to the youths on the production lines in the Industrial Units / Factories. Theoretical inputs in some trades are provided on weekly basis at this institute. The recruitment of Apprentices is taken up twice a year i.e. from 1 st February to 15 th April and 1 st August to 15 th October. At the end of apprenticeship training, National level examinations are held and National Apprentice Certificates are issued to the successful apprentices. These certificates are recognized in other countries too. |

Center of Excellence (CoE) Apparel Sector
In order to keep pace with the technological demands of the industry and expanding universe of knowledge to produce world class work force, selected ITIs have strarted to convert into the Centre of Excellence for particular Sector. ITI Sarspur has been selected as Center of Excellence for Apparel Sector to fulfill demands of Garment industry located in Ahmedabad and nearby areas. Under this scheme modular approach is adopted by six Broad Band Basic Modules and three advanced modules. |

Apparel Park Operator Training Programme:
To meet the demand of trained manpower for apparel industries by upgrading existing I.T.I. with requisite facilitites for providing training in apparel production, three different courses are available in the institute under this programme.

Short Term Computer Courses are conducted to enhance the skills with the prospective view of Hi-Tech trades in the field of Computer. The unemployed youth having S.S.C., these courses aim at improving the employability potentials and also leads them to self Employment. |

To meet the demand in BPO sector upgrading Existing facilities by providing Training in short duration. Call Center Assistant Course is started in order to fulfill market demand. |
